Hello! I am going into my third year at Western for the Honours in Creative Writing, English Language, and English Literature in the Arts and Humanities. I also study marketing through FIMS.
Internship Placement and Partners
I am doing a remote internship as a marketing and business consultant for Saint Augustine University of Tanzania (SAUT) and Youth Opportunities Unlimited (YOU) in London. I am establishing small-scale business and marketing plans for both organizations to promote and sell African-made probiotic yoghurt, called Fiti Yoghurt.
Internship Goals
I hope to create effective business plans for SAUT and YOU that will help their businesses grow over a three-to-five-year period and give them the tools and guidance to branch into new plans for their products. Similarly, I hope to help both partners identify the needs and wants of their audience and develop a thorough marketing campaign that will increase conversions and provide insight into the marketing tactics that reach their audiences most effectively for future use. My personal goal is to learn how to market effectively for different cultures and to diversify the tools with which I market so that I can be a cautious and considerate marketer in future jobs.
